Fernando Villarán

He born in Peru. He graduated from the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the Catholic University of Peru. Since 2003, he has directed and produced short films, Another day, his first short film was winner of Audiovisual Projects of the Catholic University. From 2006 to date, he has worked as advertising manager doing work for various advertising agencies and clients. In 2009, he begins to write the script of the Old Friends, and in 2011 founded Mama Okllo Films in order to direct and produce feature films. Old Friends (2012) is full of black comedy mood and stellar performances by Ricardo Blume, Carlos Enrique Gassols and Victoria. The film has been selected for script clinics in Peru and abroad (film laboratories and creation Oaxaca - Mexico). In 2011, the project Old Friends is winner of CONACINE to carry the film. The film was his first feature.
