Limara Meneses Jiménez

Born in Cuba. Graduate Performing Arts Theatre and Interpretation from the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in Havana Cuba (2004-2010). She also has a Master of Interpretation in the media from the International School of San Antonio de los Baños (2010-2011). Limara said in an interview that she has "a covenant" with music, because all her characters are linked to the stage and the rhythms of Cuba. In 2006 she played the role of Aida, the wife of Benny Moré, the greatest Cuban popular singer of all time. After El Benny came the role of Rita in the animated film Chico and Rita, directed by Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal, nominated for an Oscar. Her other performances include: The Way to Eden (2007), Noche de Ronda (2007), Orbita (2007), Ode to the Pineapple (2008), Lisanka (2010), Semper Fidel (2011) and Temporal (2013).
