Synopsis: "The smell of the flowers" follows Mara, an actress who struggles with mental health issues, while being the protagonist of a musical stage play based on Shakespeare's character Ophelia. As the story moves forward the reality of Mara starts to mix with the character's arc, leading her to lose her mind and end in a tragic way.

Sinopsis: "El olor de las flores" sigue a Mara, una actriz que lucha con problemas de salud mental, mientras es la protagonista de una obra de teatro musical basada en el personaje de Ofelia de Shakespeare. Synopsis: Erma (50s, Cuban) arrives to Little Haiti with a painting. She needs to find the man in this painting. Who could he be? She doesnt know. All she knows: her son painted him and that the man lives in Little Haiti. Unable to speak English, she enlists the help of Wilky (14, Haitian-American). The two venture into the colorful neighborhood on his electric scooter, showing the painting to locals, with hopes of finding the man. When they do find him, Erma reveals to him that her son passed away. The man (also a painter) surprises Erma with a portrait of her son.

Sinopsis: Erma (50 años, cubana) llega a Little Haiti con una pintura. Necesita encontrar al hombre de la pintura. ¿Quién podría ser? No lo sabe. Solo sabe que su hijo lo pintó y que el hombre vive en Little Haiti. Sin saber inglés, recurre a la ayuda de Wilky (14 años, haitiano-estadounidense). Los dos se aventuran en el colorido barrio en su scooter eléctrico, mostrando la pintura a los lugareños, con la esperanza de encontrar al hombre. Cuando lo encuentran, Erma le revela que su hijo falleció. El hombre (también pintor) sorprende a Erma con un retrato de su hijo.
